Noisy Lobster is a gorgeous family run, restaurant located on Avon beach along the stunning Dorset coast, serving delicious fresh, local seafood, divine cocktails and incredible views. There is a convenient car park right out the front.

I have been a few times now to Noisy Lobster and every time the food is perfect.

The seacuterie starters were delicious and the fresh sour dough boule was divine with the lobster oil & balsamic dressing.

I had thee most amazing steak ever when I visited recently with the wonderful Bournemouth Bloggers. Cooked to perfection and the chips and salad were delicious. The food and cocktails are exceptional every time I have visited.

There are spectacular views from every angle, even on a wet and cloudy day. And you can be sure to spot some swimmers & paddle boarders all year round! The decor inside both restaurants has a lovely warm and welcoming ambiance with a touch of luxury, and they also have an upstairs area you can hire for functions.

If you get the chance I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

I have been luck enough to come to Captains Club a few times now and its always such a lovely place to visit! I was kindly invited to Captains Club Hotel to see their amazing cocktails made with the most wonderful local liquor from Conker Distillery and got to watch a little masterclass. Captains Club is situated along side the beautiful river in Christchurch, Dorset.

We were also treated to a fabulous tour of the hotel and were shown around the 3 bedroom apartment suite, these have a beautiful ship style decor- one bedroom even has a large porthole window in the ceiling so you can stargaze (amazing) a lovely lounge area with floor to ceiling windows so you can see the pretty river views, (the hotel has been designed so every room faces out to the river) beautiful kitchen, bathroom & en-suite!

We got to try some delicious canapés with their Midas Prosecco while sat in the bar area next to the gorgeous fire, such a lovely atmosphere and also dog friendly everywhere (except the main restaurant) which I think is amazing!

Definitely go take a visit if you haven’t been before! Or if you have, maybe this is you sign to go again!

I was kindly invited to The Boathouse restaurant to try their pizza, nibbles & fizz and had such a fabulous time, along with my wonderful friends from Bournemouth Bloggers.

I have been to The Boathouse a few times now and the food was delicious- we had a variety of pizzas (my favourite was goats cheese) mezze boards & Thai tapas, with some lovely Prosecco and the most divine red wine 🍷

It’s so nice to be able to walk and see all the swans around on the water. They have lots of cute little boats too and I believe you can hire them. There is a park just past The Boathouse which is great on warm sunny days to take the children and then grab some lunch at The Boathouse. Highly recommend if you haven’t been yet! They also have a room you can hire for why events upstairs which is gorgeous!

They have such a cosy lounge area with some sofas and the log burner which is great for colder days! Having a chilled cappuccino while sat here was bliss!

Let me know if you get to visit and what you think!

Mottisfont National Trust & The Goat Pub

We had a wonderful day at Mottisfont National Trust using the free family tickets the National Trust were giving out for autumn.

We came here when Cass was a couple of weeks old, and loved it, sadly it was raining which meant the house was closed, but it was very very quiet. However this time the autumnal sun was shining, (it was ALOT busier) but we managed to walk around the house which is beautiful!

There is a little cafe inside the historical main house and also a cafe in the stables. We sat down and had coffee, hot chocolates & cake inside the main house again which was so lovely.

Mottisfont Abbey is a historical priory and country estate in Hampshire, England. Sheltered in the valley of the River Test, the property is now operated by the National Trust. 393,250 people visited the site in 2019.The site includes the historic house museum which features regularly changing art exhibitions, gardens, including a walled rose garden which is home to the National Plant Collection of ancestral rose species and 19th-century rose cultivars, and a riverside walk. It is a Grade I listed building.

There is a huge river you can walk along called the River Test and cross over some quaint little wooden bridges and see the swans and the ducks, and lots of little streams around the gardens.

They also had their Halloween funny bones book trail for the children to find all the skeletons dotted around the gardens and a whole funny bones zoo, the children loved finding all these. This was on until the 5th of November, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next year. Perfect place to visit in there halloween half term school holidays.

A few gorgeous photos of the amazing Mottisfont House-

If you haven’t been to Mottisfont National Trust yet I highly recommend a visit as it’s just so stunning!

Lastly we went for a delicious roast dinner at a pub in Timsbury, near Romsey called The Goat. We have been a few times and as always their food is just divine.
